“I am an American student studying abroad in Cape Town, and stumbled upon Medindi Manor when searching for a place for my father and sister to stay when they came to visit me. As soon as I walked into Medindi, I was completely sold. Gorgeous manor with high ceilings, wooden floors, spacious and comfortable rooms, delightful bathrooms (fantastic waterfall showers), and even a pool and lawn area. However, what made my family's stay at Medindi so fantastic was not simply the physical charm/beauty of the place, but the care and attention given to us by the entire staff. Always there to help with whatever we needed, the staff at Medindi really made my family feel completely at home in such a far away location. General Manager Rita Friedman is the most spectacularly warm/caring/generous host one could ever hope to come across. If for no other reason, I would tell people to stay at Medindi just so they could meet Rita. Again, we spent an absolutely wonderful week at Medindi Manor, and when I get a chance to return to Cape Town I will be sure to at least stop by Medindi to say hello to all the staff who became friends of mine by the end of the stay. Thanks Rita! You're the best!”

“I stayed here during the world cup. It was a great place to stay with the best hospitality I received amongst all guesthouses I visited in South Africa. Top quality service. Even though it’s not in the City Bowl area (10-15mins drive), I would still stay there if I were to visit Cape Town again because I feel I am safe and comfortable there. The staff there are amazing and are very helpful.”
